54 yr old 118 kg female having 2 month old fracture of right shoulder,fracture proximal humerus with the proximal fragment displaced posteriorly admitted on 18/09/2015.Associated problem obesity,patient had been treated conservatively for past 2 months in a sling which had led to multiple infected friction sores in axilla with cellulitis associated with pain on attempted movement and complete restriction of movements in all planes of right shoulder.
Open reduction internal fixation with proximal locking plate system performed.Bone graft was not required as intraoperative reduction of fragments was satisfactory,patients mobilised from Day 2.
Pain in Right shoulder with gradually increasing active and active assist movements to limits of tolerance and healing axillary sores/ulcers.
